DIVISION 3 HURLING LEAGUE

Kildorrery 4-18 Shanballymore 3-10
Our second string took on Kildorrery in the division 3 hurling league last Sunday week and in the end we had to give way to a sharper fitter Kildorrery outfit who ran out winners in the end with eleven points to spare. We done well in the first half and seemed to be competing well all over the field but just before the short whistle Kildorrery got a soft goal and they followed this with a point to lead by four at half time 2-9 to 1-8.

DISAPPOINTING LOSS TO LOCAL RIVALS

Last Sunday we made the short journey to Doneraile to take on the locals in our third game in this years league and were left disappointed with the loss and the performance, we led in the early stages of this match but the loss of Sean lynch and Eoin O’Regan to injury was to prove costly and Doneraile ran out convincing 8 point winners in the end on a score line of Doneraile 2-13 Shanballymore 1-8.

GOOD LEAGUE WIN AGAINST FERMOY

Last Friday week we traveled to Fermoy for round two of the division one hurling league and came away with a one point victory after a close game. This was a tight game all through and both teams put in a hard hours work to try and gain the points on offer but thankfully we held out out in the end to win by a single point 1-11 to 0-13.

SHANBALLYMORE JUVENILE GAA REPORT

U14S TO KICK START SEASON.

This Saturday our u14 football team travel to Killavullen to kick start the playing season when they play the locals with a 2pm kick off. This squad will hopefully continue their good form they showed at the end of last year when they captured the u13 D football league title defeating Boherbue in the semifinal and Castletownroche in a dramatic final. We will be looking to players like Muris, Aidan, Josh, Jordan and Jake O’Regan to put in a good performance against Killavullen. Continue reading →
