Kildorrery 4-18 Shanballymore 3-10
Our second string took on Kildorrery in the division 3 hurling league last Sunday week and in the end we had to give way to a sharper fitter Kildorrery outfit who ran out winners in the end with eleven points to spare. We done well in the first half and seemed to be competing well all over the field but just before the short whistle Kildorrery got a soft goal and they followed this with a point to lead by four at half time 2-9 to 1-8.

The second half started with the visitors stretching their lead when the goaled inside the first five minutes and even though we hit back straight away with a Paul Burke goal we were facing an uphill battle to get a win against a lively Kildorrery outfit. In the end they took the league points on offer.

Team: Niall Barry, Richard Burke, James Hayes, Brendan Hayes, Robert McHugh, Padraig Fitzgerald, Darren Roche, Aidan Herbert, Kenneth Barry, Dylan O’Callaghan, Dave Twomey, Shaun Cronin, Mick O’Donovan, Paul Burke, Vincent Burke.
