We suffered defeat in the county football championship quarter final last Wednesday week to near neighbours Ballyhooly who now go on to contest the semifinal against the winners of Araglin v Whitechurch. We traveled to Clyda Rovers last Monday night to take on the hosts in round four of the league and after a hard hour of football we came away with an excellent win against a very well drilled Clyda team who played a very fast passing brand of football. We knew that this would be our toughest test to date as Clyda are an excellent football club with there first team playing senior football and able to mix it with the best in the county at that grade.

We welcomed Liscarroll to Shanballymore last Thursday night for round two of the football league and after a very shaky start which saw us concede two goals inside the first five minutes we recovered well to gain control of the game. We played into the village end with a strong wind at our backs in the first half but unfortunately Liscarroll cut through the heart of our defence for two well taken goals in the first few minutes.
