Highlight of your GAA career to date? Playing Junior A Hurling at 13 years of age in 2001. Coaching teams to County, Munster and All Ireland wins.

 

Favourite thing about our club? The banter in the dressing room and the Monday night meetings can be interesting (Mr Chairman)

 

Do you remember your first game for Shanballymore? League :26th June 2001 Div 1 HL V Fermoy Championship : 14th July 2001 JBHC V DrominaWith a full back line of Alan Sheedy, John Sheedy and Mike Sheedy

 

Other interests outside of the GAA? Playing Golf, going to games, listening to Lyric FM and selling sliotars

 

Which sports person would you most like to meet? Roy Keane the legend.

 

Favourite sporting memory? Being in Croker for the 2004 Hurling and 2010 Football finals. Camp Nou 26th May 1999, the two goals scored in Fergie time to complete the treble.

 

A sporting event you would most like to attend? The Ryder Cup, El Clasico and Cork beating Kerry in Croke Park in September.

 

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received? A Cloyne man once told me ‘Hit the ball far and twil go long!!

 

What advice would you give to younger players? Train hard cause you will only get out what you put in.

 

You may not know this but “I’m good at”? Beating the Buns at Darts, giving out and losing golf balls.

 

Favourite Film? Adam and Paul

 

Favourite TV show? Father Ted

 

Favourite book? Last Man Standing

 

Toughest opponent at training? Brian Barry or Blondie would cut the head off ya.

 

Growing up my favourite hurler was? The best goalie I have ever witnessed Donal Og Cusack

 

Growing up my favourite footballer was? Ciaran McDonald some tekkers

 

If there was one thing you would change about the GAA, what would it be? The Politics

 

If you owned a race horse what would you call it? Not a Sausage

 

In ten years time I hope to be? Healthy and back in goals for the novice team.

 

And finally who’s the longest in the shower? There’s a few felas and if they were any longer they would be late!!
