MUNSTER FINAL REPLAY THIS SUNDAY

This Sunday it’s back to Killeedy in Co.Limerick for the replay of the Munster junior B hurling championship final.

Three weeks ago we took part in a fierce battle against Tipperary champions Eire Og Annacarty Donohill and this Sunday promises to be another hard fought encounter. The last few weeks have been busy for the players and selectors with a number of tough training sessions taking place with good turnouts and great attitude shown.

Everybody is ready for the valentines day battle in Killeedy where no love will be shown come the 2pm throw in. In the drawn game we had an amazing amount of support and it was great for all involved to see the massive amount of red and black colour worn by the supporter’s.

We would appeal to all our loyal following to travel to Killeedy again this Sunday and help cheer the boys on to victory and claim a first Munster title for the club.

Panel for Sunday: Declan Fitzgibbon, Eoin McHugh, Richard Burke, Alan Sheedy, Sean Lynch, Eoin O’Regan, Padraig Fitzgerald, Haulie Burke, Darren Roche, Brian Sheedy, Brian O’Reilly, Jerome Fitzgerald, Jamie Sheedy, Paul Burke, Jonathan Dennehy, Colman O’Reilly, Stephen Donegan, Kenneth Barry, James Hayes, Brendan Hayes, Vincent Burke, Robert McHugh, Micheal O’Donovan, Niall Barry, Eamon Fitzgerald, Shaun Cronin, Brian O’Regan, Dave Twomey, Jonathan Linehan, Richard Hallihan, Aidan Herbert, Jimmy Burke, Barry Sheedy.

Trainer: Jim O’Sullivan, Selectors: Tom Palmer, Conor Hannon, Pat Walsh. Medical team: Eddie Roche, Noreen Burke. Kit man: Mick O’Keefe.

After this Sunday we have an all Ireland semifinal to look forward too and hopefully we will be going in as Munster champions. This game will take place in Killeedy on Sunday 28th of February and will be part of a double header.

Last Sunday in Abbeyleix Galway champions Tynagh Abbey Duniry beat the Killkenny champions Barrow Rangers by a single goal 1-13 to 0-13 and by all accounts it was a very good game with some outstanding hurling played by both teams.
