Our much anticipated Munster hurling championship quarter final against Austin Stacks from Kerry will take place this Sunday the 29th of November at 2pm in Killeady Co. limerick.
At the start of this year our main aims where to get to Pairc Ui Rinn and have a chance at claiming a county title and to win a north Cork hurling title which has proved very hard over the last number of years
After winning the county in July and the north Cork in September we now get the chance to represent Cork and the Avondhu division in a Munster championship campaign.
Not much is known about our opponents from Kerry but over the last numbers of years hurling in Kerry has been on the up which will mean that we will have to be at our very best to come out on top and progress to the semifinal against Clare champions Broardford on the 13th of December.
Our panel for Sunday have been busy training hard over the last number of weeks and thankfully there has been no sign of anybody easing up as we go all out to create a little bit of history for the famed black and red of Shanballymore.
From everybody in the club we wish captain Brian O’Reilly the players and the selectors the very best of luck in their quest for more success, it would be great to see another large crowd of Shanballymore supporters travel to Killeady on Sunday to roar the team on and having hugh support at games has been a vital part of our success so far this year, for those travelling to the game Killeady is about 45 minutes from Shanballymore and is not far outside Drumcollogher.
