KILLBRITIAN PROVE TOO STRONG

Killbritian 2-10 Shanballymore 0-2

We played Killbritian in the forth round of the junior b football championship and unfortunately came up against a very well prepared and we’ll drilled West cork outfit.

The first half was very even with both teams guilty of some missed scores but killbritian got an all important goal five minutes before half time to see them lead 1-3 to 0-2 at the break. Things didn’t improve for us in the second half when we lost our midfield pair of Sean Lynch and Eoin McHugh inside the first ten minutes.

This was a major set back and killbritian killed the game off with a second goal after fifteen minutes to see them lead by nine points 2-5 to 0-2 and there was no way back for us at this stage. They added a few more points before the final whistle to take victory and move on to the quarter final where they defeated Ballinacurra  4-16 to 0-12.
